Luke

The book of Luke begins with the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus, and Jesus' early life, then follows his ministry as he preaches the kingdom of God, heals the sick, and casts out demons. Jesus teaches his disciples about humility, forgiveness, and loving God and one's neighbor, while warning against hypocrisy, greed, and the dangers of wealth. He predicts his own death and resurrection, and teaches his disciples about the cost of following him. Jesus encounters various people, enters Jerusalem, and is eventually betrayed, arrested, and crucified, but forgives his executioners and rises from the dead, appearing to his disciples and commissioning them to preach repentance and forgiveness in his name.
