2 Samuel 16:3

And the king said, "Where is the son of your lord?" And Ziba answered the king: "He remained in Jerusalem, saying, ‘Today, the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.’

And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

English Standard Version

And the king said, "And where is your master's son?" Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he remains in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will give me back the kingdom of my father.'"

New International Version

The king then asked, "Where is your master's grandson?" Ziba said to him, "He is staying in Jerusalem, because he thinks, 'Today the house of Israel will give me back my grandfather's kingdom.'"
