Psalms 66
The psalmist calls on all the earth to praise God and proclaim his name, acknowledging his power and virtue. God's enemies will speak lies about him, but he rules with power and examines the hearts of men. The psalmist reflects on how God has tested and refined him, leading him through tribulations and ultimately to a place of refreshment. He vows to offer sacrifices and praise God for hearing his prayer and showing him mercy.

There, we will rejoice in himHe rules by his virtue for eternity. His eyes gaze upon the nations. May those who exasperate him, not be exalted in themselvesBless our God, you Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise be heardHe has set my soul toward life, and he has granted that my feet may not be shakenFor you, O God, have tested us. You have examined us by fire, just as silver is examinedYou have led us into a snare. You have placed tribulations on our backYou have set men over our heads. We have crossed through fire and water. And you have led us out to refreshmentI will enter your house with holocausts.
