Psalms 87

The Lord favors Zion above all other places, and glorious things are said about the City of God. The city is home to people from various nations, including foreigners, Tyre, and Ethiopia. Zion will claim these people as her own, and the Most High has established her. The Lord will record the names of her inhabitants with joy.

Its foundations are in the holy mountains2the Lord loves the gates of Zion above all the tabernacles of Jacob3Glorious things are being said of you, O City of God4I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold, the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians: these have been there5Will not Zion say that this man and that man were born in her? And the Most High himself has founded her6The Lord will explain, in the writings of peoples and of leaders, about those who have been in her7For so the dwelling place within you is with all rejoicing
