And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;

And it happened that, while they were speculating and questioning within themselves, Jesus himself, drawing near, traveled with them
