The apostles testify to the truth of Jesus Christ, who is the Word of Life, and announce this to others so that they may have fellowship with the Father and the Son. Believers must walk in the light, confess their sins, and keep God's commandments to demonstrate their love for God. Those who claim to know God but do not keep his commandments or love their brothers are liars. Believers are born of God and overcome the world through faith in Jesus, and have eternal life through believing in the Son of God.
