Zephaniah

The Lord declares His intention to utterly consume everything from the face of the land, cutting off the wicked and idolaters, and punishing those who have turned away from Him. A day of the Lord's wrath is near, bringing destruction and desolation, and no one will be able to escape His judgment. The Lord warns the nations to seek Him and righteousness before His day of anger comes, and pronounces judgment on various nations, including the Philistines, Moab, Ammon, and Assyria, who will be desolate and destroyed. The city of Jerusalem is also condemned for its corruption and refusal to obey God, but after pouring out His anger, the Lord will restore a remnant of His people, who will be faithful and righteous, and rejoice over them, restoring their honor and saving those who are afflicted.

Chapter 1
The Lord declares that He will utterly consume everything from the face of the land, including man, beast, birds, and fish, and cut off the wicked and those who worship idols. The Lord will also punish the princes, king's children, and those who have turned back from Him. A day of the Lord's wrath is near, bringing trouble, distress, wasteness, and desolation, and neither silver nor gold will be able to deliver anyone from His wrath.
Chapter 2
The Lord warns the nations to seek Him and righteousness before His day of anger comes, as He will bring destruction upon Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Ekron, and the Philistines. The coast will be desolate, but the remnant of Judah will inhabit it and feed their flocks there. The Lord also pronounces judgment on Moab and Ammon for their pride and reproach against His people, and they will be desolate like Sodom and Gomorrah. Additionally, the Lord will destroy Assyria and Nineveh, making them desolate like a wilderness, and all nations will worship Him.
Chapter 3
The city of Jerusalem is condemned for its corruption, violence, and refusal to obey God. Despite God's presence and judgment, the city's leaders and prophets are wicked and the people are shameless. God has punished other nations and will now gather all nations to pour out his anger, but afterwards he will restore a remnant of his people, who will be faithful and righteous. God will then rejoice over his people and restore their honor, saving those who are afflicted and gathering those who were scattered.
